A 15-year-old girl was raped in a van in the Tetovo region while she was returning home – she was raped by the van driver (58), who was the girl’s mother’s boyfriend. The girl immediately informed her mother about the rape – but she kept quiet about it for a year and a half, in order to protect her partner.
The girl’s horrific experience was exposed on Friday, when police officers from the Tetovo PD arrested her mother and her rapist boyfriend, who are residents of Tetovo villages.
According to the police, the grandmother, who is also from a village in the Tetovo region, reported a criminal act of sexual harassment with elements of rape committed against her underage granddaughter by the van driver.
The abuse occurred in December 2024, when the then 15-year-old minor was returning from Tetovo in a van driven by the accused, during which he sexually assaulted her using physical force. After a certain period of time, the minor told the incident to her 37-year-old mother, who was in a relationship with the 58-year-old suspect, which she decided not to report to the police.
