A 23-year-old man from Tetovo’s Sarakjino lost his life in Austria after being reported missing on Monday. He was found dead in Lake Faker, while the cause of death has not yet been confirmed and an autopsy has been ordered, TV 21 reports.
According to Austrian media, the alarm was raised after items belonging to the missing man were found on the shore of the lake, which led to a large-scale search operation by police, firefighters and water rescue services.
The search also involved 12 divers, a police helicopter and several emergency services, while the area was blocked off and tourists were evacuated. After about 40 minutes of underwater search, divers found the body at the bottom of the lake.
The young man was the owner of a cafe and was last seen in Drobollach before his family reported him missing.
