The case involving Artan Grubi is dragging on, while citizens are waiting for an answer. The man who was the living archive of DUI for years, the man who knows where the signatures, contracts, markets and affairs of the old government are, is still not facing an institutional epilogue, said the ruling VLEN party.
“Artan Grubi, along with the fugitive Perparim Bajrami, is suspected of abuses worth EUR 8 million in the ‘State Lottery’ case. This is not an ordinary case, but one of the most difficult files of the DUI system, where politics, business, lottery and government were mixed for private interests. Therefore, the question that arises in itself is: who is dragging out this case? Who has an interest in Artan Grubi remaining silent? Who is afraid of what the DUI archive may reveal? In this case, the name of Islam Abazi cannot be ignored. The public well remembers that Artan Grubi employed his close relative, and then transferred her to AEC. Today, when the ‘Grubi’ case is moving at a snail’s pace, citizens have the right to ask whether this is a coincidence or part of a network that produces protection, silence and untouchability,” VLEN pointed out.
The party demands an answer, as well as action.
“The ‘Grubi’ case must not end up in a drawer. It must not turn into a new market for the political underground, because any delay in justice undermines the trust of citizens and the European path of the country,” added VLEN.
