The annual events commemorating the Pan-Slavic educators, Ss. Cyril and Methodius, in Rome officially concluded on Sunday evening with a concert by the “Consonance” chamber ensemble held in the Horti Sallustiani as part of the event “Macedonia in Honor of St. Cyril”.

Macedonian Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov, who is part of the state and church delegation, stressed in his address at the event that the work of Ss. Cyril and Methodius represents an enduring spiritual and civilizational foundation of Slavic literacy, culture, and identity.

“Our country is a spiritual bridge and a beacon that has preserved the flame of the written word for centuries,” Ljutkov said, stressing that the Macedonian spiritual and cultural heritage continues to live on through language, art, and tradition.

Minister Ljutkov points out that Rome, as a city where civilizations and spiritual traditions intersect, is a symbolic place to pay tribute to the Pan-Slavic educators, whose legacy continues to unite nations today through the values of the word, faith, and culture.
