SDSM has acted as a defense counsel for Iva Mihajlova, who evaded legal proceedings based on a medical report authored by an associate of Venko Filipche and Zoran Zaev, Dr. Ivan Barbov, VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Valentin Manasievski told a press briefing Sunday.
“The report by the corrupt Dr. Barbov claimed that she required medical treatment in Bulgaria. Our suspicions are clear: Filipche and Zaev are behind this report. Even Barbov himself admitted that Iva Mihajlova did not have any serious medical issues and that her treatment could have continued in Macedonia,” said Manasievski.
The ruling party representative adds that Barbov’s admission further confirms the suspicion that the report was fabricated.
“This is further evidenced by the fact that SDSM and Filipche have effectively handed themselves over to Bulgaria and Mihajlova, acting as ambassadors for the former and defense counsel for the latter. Therefore, we expect the competent authorities to investigate this case so that justice may be served,” underlined Manasievski.
