July is an important month for Macedonia and the assessments made by the European Commission for all candidates. The positive assessment by the European Commission is recognition of the successfully implemented reforms in the country, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release Sunday.
The ruling party added that according to the information at their disposal, Macedonia, along with Albania and Montenegro, is among the candidate countries that are making the best progress in implementing the Reform Agenda and the obligations arising from the European Union’s Growth Plan.
“This is a significant recognition for the institutions and for all who actively contribute to the fulfillment of the reform priorities. The assessment by the European Commission is an additional motivation for the VMRO-DPMNE-led Government to continue with even stronger dynamics in the implementation of the reforms,“ reads the press release.
“It is necessary for all political actors to show responsibility and constructiveness in the period ahead. The adoption of the Electoral Code, as part of the Reform Agenda, is an obligation that is the result of a broad process of consultations and agreement within the working group at the Ministry of Justice, in accordance with the recommendations of the OSCE and ODIHR,” the ruling party pointed out.
