VMRO-DPMNE: How could the doctor have issued a recommendation from a medical board when Mihailova was never referred to one?

VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson ValentinManasievski has leveled accusations against Dr. Barbov, SDSM leader VenkoFilipche, and former Prime Minister Zoran Zev regarding the Mihailova case. According to Manasievski, those responsible must explain how the medical documentation was handled, how the medical board recommendation was issued, and how the referral for treatment in Bulgaria was arranged.

The ruling party representative challenged Dr. Barbov’s explanation that while the doctor claimed not to know the specifics of the traffic accident, he was aware that Mihailova held Bulgarian insurance. Manasievski asserted that it must be clarified on what basis the case was handled and whether established medical procedures were followed.

“How could he issue a recommendation from a medical board when the patient was never referred to one, nor did she ever submit a request for such an opinion? Why didn’t Barbov refer the patient, who had suffered trauma, for an examination by a neurosurgeon or a traumatologist?”noted Manasievski at a press conference Thursday.
