Instead of hiding from the shame in front of Macedonian workers, the head of Federation of Trade Unions (SSM) Slobodan Trendafilov chose with unprecedented audacity, panic and anxiety to attack MP DafinaStojanoska, playing the victim in order to cover up his own scandal, the VMRO-DPMNE MP group stated on Wednesday.
“This is not an attack on a family, this is a desperate cry of a ‘trade unionist’ who thinks that with tears and labels he will erase the fact that he is spending workers’ money on personal luxury,” the VMRO-DPMNE MP group reacted in the denial and rejected his desperate attempts to defocus from the truth.
The MPs say that while Trendafilov “hypocritically urged MPs to walk to work, he showed up at a protest on the same day with an official vehicle, and the public has already seen how that same vehicle is being used for family needs as if it were his private property.”
Earlier Wednesday, Trendafilov asked Parliament Speaker AfrimGashi to initiate a procedure to revoke MP Stojanoska’sMP immunity, and for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) to initiate a procedure against her.
The MP posted a video on her social media accountTuesday, in the description of which she said that Trendafilov was using an official SSM vehicle for private purposes. The footage shows Trendafilov getting into a car with his two children.
Trendafilov said Wednesday that Stojanoska “published his minor children so that everyone could slander them and blackmail him in this way”, and asked the Minister of Interior PancheToshkovski “whether the services are following the SSM president and filming his children”. The SSM head even demanded arrests and said that “a normal government in a normal country would be overthrown for something like this, and the MP would already be in prison.”
