SDSM is bothered by everything that is in the country’s interest. They do not want Macedonia to progress and succeed, which is why they are bothered by the diplomatic success of the VMRO-DPMNE-led government, which was also confirmed in Skopje by the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, the ruling VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release Saturday.

“ Costa sent a clear message last week during his visit to Macedonia that the country has made tangible progress in fulfilling the Reform Agenda, and this was further confirmed by receiving 65.7 million euros from the Growth Plan, which is 50 percent more than, as they call it, front runners Montenegro and Albania,” the ruling party said.

VMRO-DPMNE reminds that for the first time since independence, Macedonia has been elected as a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for 2027-2029.

Meanwhile, the 2025 draft report of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee on Macedonia sends an important political message and confirms that Macedonia remains clearly recognized as a European country committed to reforms, regional stability and strategic partnership with the EU and NATO.

In addition, as further pointed out, there is a joint statement with the EU in the area of defense and security policy, the post-monitoring with the Council of Europe has been completed, which is a confirmation that the country meets all democratic capacities

“On the other hand, after many years of inaction, kneeling, humiliation and subordination of Macedonian diplomacy to other countries, especially in the area with Bulgaria, has been put to an end. The government led by VMRO-DPMNE signed the Ratification of an Agreement with Bulgaria for the implementation of Corridor 8, which is of crucial importance for Europe, the region and the Balkans itself. This success of Macedonian diplomacy and progress of the country is not seen only by SDS and Venko Filipche, who, by the term success and reform, only mean changing the Constitution and bringing in Bulgarians, with the ultimate goal of redefining Macedonian history according to Bulgarian standards,” reads the ruling party’s press release.
