VMRO-DPMNE will hold a session of the Central Committee (CC) Friday evening, at which a new Executive Committee and a new Secretary General of the party will be elected.

Party leader and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski announced Thursday that during this term VMRO-DPMNE will have a leader, secretary general and members of the Executive Committee (EC). The previous deputy leaders will be proposed as members of the party’s EC, and there will also be new names.

In an interview for the national broadcaster MRT, Mickoski informed that a CC will be held with everyone who will be part of the Executive Committee according to the party statute – the parliamentary group whip, the chair of the Women’s Union, the head of the Youth Force Union, the head of the Veterans’ Union, the party leader, the secretary general, etc.

The new composition of the EC is set to have 29 members. Mickoski says he will ask the Central Committee to make a decision to call for elections for a new head of the Veterans’ Union, the Youth Force Union and the Women’s Union. He expects 20 to 25 percent of the EC’s composition to be new people from the party.
