The European Commission (EC) provided loans for North Macedonia in the amount of 50 million euros, as the first tranche of the current operation for macro-financial assistance for the country.
The assistance provides further support to North Macedonia, whose economy has been severely hit by the recent energy crisis, which was triggered by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The assistance will support macroeconomic stability and ensure further reforms related to the current program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for North Macedonia.
It will help North Macedonia to progress on its European path, adds the EC press release.
