Second coronavirus patient dies in Macedonia

A coronavirus patient has died at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases Sunday night, the Ministry of Health said in a press release. The patient was a 63-year-old man from Debar, whose condition had suddenly deteriorated.

The patient had been hospitalized at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases on March 17. He had no fever, but respiratory distress and dependent on oxygen therapy. The patient had no history of comorbidity, the press release reads. This is the second coronavirus death in North Macedonia. The first, a 57-year-old woman from Kumanovo, was announced on Sunday.

2 new cases of patients tested positive for the coronavirus were registered over the last 24-hours in the country, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 136 until 12 pm.
