Macedonia to sit at NATO’s table as full-fledged member for first time

A meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Foreign Ministers will be held Thursday via videoconference with North Macedonia participating as full-fledged NATO member, MIA’s correspondent reported.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at today’s pre-ministerial online press conference announced the first meeting of NATO foreign ministers that will be held via secure teleconference.

“Tomorrow, we will welcome the Republic of North Macedonia as our thirtieth member at this ministerial meeting. So even in difficult times, we continue to look forward,” Stoltenberg said.

NATO foreign ministers will address the measures that NATO and Allies are taking in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. Stoltenberg said that when foreign ministers meet tomorrow, we will look at ways to coordinate our response even closer.
