Statistical analysis of the amount of funds allocated as state aid during the coronavirus period shows that the assistance provided by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia is far from “brilliant”.
Only Belarus (a country that “does not recognize the corona virus”) has a lower percentage of state aid allocated to Macedonia than compared to the gross domestic product of 2019 countries.
Belarus allocated 0.1%, Macedonia 0.2%, and neighboring countries, as a comparison, have the following figures: Albania 1.3%, Kosovo 2.3%, Serbia 11%, Greece 4.5%, Bulgaria 3 , 5%.
The highest percentage is Germany (30.6%), followed by Britain (24.6%), Italy (20.4%), Spain (20%), Hungary (19.6%) and the Czech Republic (18%).
