Nearly 200 healthcare workers and nearly 100 children diagnosed with COVID-19

A total of 1,170 coronavirus cases have been reported in Macedonia, according to official data from Saturday afternoon, when 53 new cases were confirmed in six cities in the country, most of them in Skopje, 200 coronavirus cases among healthcare workers and another 100 cases of children.

The age of the patients ranges from 0 to 91 years (median – 45 years). Most patients (233) are aged 50-59 years. In people over 60, the incidence is 59.2 per 100,000 people. The lowest incidence of 18.8 and 18.4 per 100,000 inhabitants is registered in children aged 0-9 and 10-19, where 43 and 46 cases were reported, respectively.

Regarding the symptoms that were reported in the infected persons, the most commonly registered were fever (64.3%), cough (54.1%), malaise (32.3%), fever (18.5%), headache (17, 5%), sore throat (15.7%) and shortness of breath (14.1%).

In 33.8% of the diagnosed persons, no symptoms of the disease were registered. 194 cases of disease among health workers have been registered.
