About 70 percent of citizens decided to postpone the payment of their loans, according to information from banks that submitted data to the National Bank.

Due to the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, banks have offered their clients the opportunity to defer the payment of loans within 6 months. Banks during the grace period will not write off the interest on loans but will collect it from the citizens, after they start regularly paying their debts.

– These delays for the banks mean a temporary cancellation of the inflows that should have been collected during this period, which indirectly supports the economy – said the National Bank.
