The Habeas Corpus Institute published its research, according to which 74% of the
respondents are against the snap elections for which the leader of SDSM, Zoran
Zaev, is committed.
Only 14 percent of respondents are eligible to vote during a corona epidemic, and 12
percent said they did not know or did not vote.
Despite the opinion of a large number of citizens, the views of the largest opposition
party, VMRO-DPMNE, but also the thoughts of the Albanian coalition partner of
SDSM and the Alliance of Albanians that a consensus is needed to determine the
election date, Zaev persistently reiterates his position that elections there will be,
even if no agreement is reached.

According to Zaev, there can be no boycott of the elections because the candidate
lists have already been accepted, and the draw has been made.

That the numbers are not in favor of Zaev's claims for snap elections shows that
Macedonia has the worst results compared to the countries in the region in dealing
with the corona, but also that the number of dead and infected does not decrease.
According VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, a fair and democratic election
process requires the opinion of the State Election Commission and the
OSCE/ODIHR, pointing out that it is necessary to clean out the voter list.
