From damage in the amount of 509,907,569 denars through 94 crimes in 2015 to 9,315,337,006 denars damage to the budget through 122 crimes in 2019, show the parameters related to financial crime in the country.
The cross-section shown in the graph covers the last two years of the rule of VMRO-DPMNE and the three years of SDSM’s rule. It is clear that in 2016 the lowest rate of financial crime was registered, and already next year the budget will increase drastically more than double and the upward trend will continue in the next two years.
The Coalition “All for a Fair Trial” published data from the Financial Police Directorate, which indicate that the material damage caused to the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia related to financial crime was the highest in 2019. The rate of financial crime last year was 18 times higher than four years ago.
According to the same data, in the period from 2015 to 2019, the largest increase in crime in the field of financial crime was registered as “tax evasion”.
