Macedonian citizens overwhelmingly agree that elections should be held in late
August or September in order to reduce the risk of new coronavirus cases and
ensure greater turnout, according to a survey conducted by the Institute for Political
Research in Skopje (IPIS). a short survey between June 2 and 5, 2020 on 1,100
adult respondents across the country.
Data from the latest IPIS poll show that 40.2 percent of respondents agreed the idea
of elections in August or September, while 24.8 percent said it would be better to
have elections early July, in order to have fully functioning institutions.
35% of respondents said they did not have an answer to this question.
