The officials of Zoran Zaev and SDSM are trying in every possible way to cover up
the pressure on the media and the threats against the media workers with measures
that have no effect, VMRO-DPMNE accused today in a statement.
"The media that are under the control of Zoran Zaev in the past few months have
been caught alive on several occasions spreading false news on behalf of SDSM,
which are in panic from the upcoming election defeat. Macedonia is a hybrid regime,
Zoran Zaev is corrupt, he holds the system hostage and abuses the media and puts
constant pressure on them. Zaev and Spasovski carried out a direct attack on media
freedom and the right of the public to be informed. 1TV, which Zaev also claimed to
be pro-government, was turned into a tool for racketeering, political pressure and
extortion of millions of euros from businessmen. The whole public heard that Zoran
Zaev knew about the amounts and the people who are being racketeered, and he
was behind the financing of the media through which his associates Katica Janeva
and Boki 13 worked," reads the statement.
The Ministry of Interior and the Public Prosecutor's Office, on the orders of Oliver
Spasovski and Zoran Zaev, conducted a search in Netpress, only due to the
announcement of a scandal where there is a suspicion of serious crime by a senior
official from the SDSM Government.
