According to data released by the European Commission on the growth of gross domestic product (GDP) for the countries of the Western Balkans, including Turkey, it is obvious that only Macedonia and Albania show no growth in the quarter that coincided with the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
The European Commission on Thursday released data on GDP growth for these countries in the region in the first quarter of 2020.
On the list, Serbia achieved the highest growth of 5 percent in the first quarter of 2020, while behind Serbia is Montenegro with 2.7 percent, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 2.0 percent, then Macedonia with only 0.2 percent, and at the bottom is Kosovo with 1.3 percent.
According to these data, it is more than clear that Macedonia comes in last place in terms of achieving GDP growth in the first quarter of the year.
