Тhe members of the VMRO-DPMNE Executive Committee at the first session after the snap parliamentary elections last night decided to authorize party leader Hristijan Mickoski to continue talks in an attempt to form a new parliamentary majority, says the party.

According to the Executive Committee, despite the fact that the elections were held in an undemocratic atmosphere with mass bribery of votes conducted by the current SDSM government, VMRO-DPMNE gained the trust of the people in most municipalities and won more seats compared to the SDSM party without coalition with BESA.

Hence, they concluded that their leader Mickoski should negotiate with potential partners to form a government.

“The Executive Committee of VMRO-DPMNE gave the direction to prepare a thorough analysis of the election results, which will be discussed later at the party organs and bodies,” the party said in a statement regarding the election results.
