The Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Macedonia (KSS) urges workers to adhere to workplace protection measures during a pandemic such as frequent hand washing and disinfection, keeping a two-meter physical distance and avoiding contact with an infected person or person, who came back from a trip in a high or medium risk country.
Therefore, they point out that respecting the precautionary measures is important because if the health of the employee is in danger, then the workplace and the work of the whole company are also in danger.
“We are aware that we are in an uncertain and crisis period where the worker is exposed to a possible COVID-19 infection and thus spreading to other colleagues. That is why we appeal again to increase the awareness of every worker that his health is really important, both for himself, his family, and for all colleagues and the whole society. “This pandemic has shown how vulnerable the occupational safety and health system is and how easily and quickly the virus can spread through the workplace.”
