VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said that the MPs from his party were offered six-digit sums of money to support the SDSM program. He said he knew the names of those “mysterious” characters that approached the lawmakers, but would not disclose them at this time.

“I would not like publicly reveal the names of those people now, it would be very frivolous. Based on the testimonies of the people who were approached, I only warned that people approached the MPs of VMRO-DPMNE and that is normal. It is normal to approach, to say see such a program offered by SDSM, but six-seven-digit numbers in foreign currency and promises of privileges, with an offer that tomorrow you are provided with a meeting with the top leadership of SDSM, it causes disgust to the listener, who is an MP from our coalition and me. I hope that these will be unsuccessful episodes that leave a mark on the democratic processes in the country and that they will not be repeated,” Mickoski said, answering journalists’ questions related to the formation of the future government.

He added that, knowing the MPs from the “Renewal of Macedonia” coalition, these things would not be repeated, because they do not see the right capacity in the man who aspires to lead the future government, and is his political competitor.
