Outgoing Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, who is chairing the constitutive session of the Parliament, said Friday that for now he has no plans to convene the continuation of the session.
“Based on my competencies, I will convene the continuation of the session when I decide. I have no plans for now,” Xhaferi said.
Xhaferi originally planned to continue the session on Thursday, but did not convene it due to, as he informed, family reasons. The information that the parliamentary services were preparing for a parliamentary session yesterday was heard by Prime Minister-designate Zoran Zaev. After receiving the mandate, he said that at the moment there is no need to convene the parliament because negotiations are underway to form a ruling majority.
