The scandal with the Eurostandard Bank is deepening, says VMRO-DPMNE, pointing out that Zoran Zaev admitted that as prime minister he had information about the dire situation of the bank almost a year ago. Contrary to this, says the opposition party, Minister of Finance Nina Angelovska said that she had no information about the failure of the bank.

President of the VMRO-DPMNE Commission for material financial operations Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska, at Friday’s press conference asked who is lying to the public, Zaev who says he had information and received reports, or the Minister of Finance who says she had no information and who only a month and half before the collapse of the bank withdrew funds.

“Zoran Zaev is obliged to respond who gave him the reports on the situation with the bank: Did the governor inform him about the bank and on what grounds? Or the Minister of Finance, who says she did not know about the bank even though she is part of the Financial Stability Committee,” Kochoska stressed.

She added that if Zoran Zaev knew about the failure of the Bank, then he was the most called to save the bank from collapse, in which savings failed and over 100 thousand accounts were blocked. Kochoska revealed that so far only 10 thousand people have opened an account in another bank and reported to the pension insurance fund.
“What will happen to the retired people who will not receive their pension on time?” Kochoska asked.
