Since the beginning of the coronacrisis in Macedonia, every day more than 250 able-bodied citizens are losing their jobs.
According to the research project Reflector and based on data from the Employment Bureau for the five months from April to August 24, the number of people actively seeking work is 36,362.
Earlier, Reflector reported in June that in the first two months since the beginning of theCOVID-19 crisis (April and May) more than 12,000 people lost their jobs, which means that in June, July and August, on average, about 8,000 people lost their jobs.
The total number of people who, according to the Employment Bureau, are actively looking for work in the country, i.e. are considered unemployed is 144,094.
