Most COVID-19 cases last week aged between 30 and 39 and over 60

Of the 790 new COVID-19 cases registered last week, the largest number – 174 (22 percent) are aged 30 to 39 years, and 172 (21.8 percent) are aged over 60 years. They are followed by people aged 40 to 49, whose number is 134 (17 percent) and people aged 50 to 59, whose number is 129 or 16.3 percent.

This is shown by the data in the report of the Institute of Public Health published on Wednesday, for the period from August 31 to September 6.

According to the report, the lowest number of patients was registered in children aged up to nine years of age (n = 22; 2.8 percent) and aged 10 to 19 years (n = 40; 5.1 percent).

The number of new 790 cases registered last week (between August 31 and September 6) is 18.9 percent higher than the number diagnosed the week before. Most of the registered cases are from Skopje.
