The student and high school dormitories will be reopened, in compliance with the accommodation Protocols, where a single room can accommodate only one person, and a room with more than two beds can accommodate a maximum of two people, the Government decided at Tuesday night’s session.

The Government also decided to submit to the Parliament a Draft-Law on Amending the Law on Student Standard and a Draft-Law on Amending the Law on Student Standard, which regulates that in conditions of emergency (determined existence of a crisis situation, declared epidemic, i.e. pandemics, fires, floods or other major natural disasters), to the students who have applied for the competition for accommodation in the dormitories, and to whom the applications for accommodation have been approved, but due to the reduced number of accommodation cannot be accommodated in a dormitory, to be paid a monthly amount to funds to cover the costs of private accommodation, i.e. a monthly amount of funds to cover the costs of transportation from the place of residence to the place where the studies take place, the amount of which is decided by the Government.

It is estimated that due to the reduced capacity to use accommodation in dormitories, 884 students and 347 students will use private accommodation or transportation from the place of residence to the place where their studies take place.
