COVID-19 has brought hospitals throughout Macedonia to their financial collapse. The financial collapse did not affect only the CGH September 8, but the Hospital in Shtip is facing the same problem. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the ambulances did not work, no surgeries were performed, so the daily maximum inflow of about 140,000 denars melted to only 7,000 denars. On the other hand, the costs for treatment of coronary arteries have increased, and the same is not always paid by the Health Insurance Fund to all COVID centers.

This happens when in the eastern and southern part of the country where there are over 500 active cases of COVID-19. Citizens fear that the situation could get completely out of control.
