The Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced that the fourth anti-crisis set envisages assistance and support for tourism as one of the most affected branches in the midst of the epidemic.
“- Support with salaries for tourist guides – 150 registered tourist guides for October, November and December, will be paid a minimum gross salary in the amount of 21,776 denars, worth up to 160,000 euros.
– Refund of the tourist tax for 2019 – to 4,740 entities that organized overnight stays in 2019, will be refunded 2 million euros, which is the total amount of tourist tax collected in that year.
– Grants for travel agencies – for 500 travel agencies are provided grants in the amount of 3,000 to 7,000, in a total value of 1.9 million euros, depending on the number of employees, the total turnover in 2019 and whether they are holders of A or B license.
