“Macedonia sends a very underestimating political message to many important countries in the world, which are also our friendly countries with the fact that there are no ambassadors in the same countries for many years,” said VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Miloshoski.
According to Miloshoski, it is scandalous that even after two years we do not have ambassadors in Washington and Ottawa, the two key NATO members, with a large Macedonian diaspora.
“We have been without ambassadors for about three years and in the heart of diplomacy like the United Nations, and the embassies in Moscow, Beijing, New Delhi and Rome are empty. We have been without ambassadors for four years in friendly Croatia and in Egypt, which is our only embassy on the African continent. We have important political issues with Bulgaria, but also economic interests, but we do not have an ambassador. Unfortunately, the embassies in Belgium, Turkey and Brazil, the only Macedonian embassy in South America, are also empty. Unfortunately, the empty embassy in Tel Aviv in the past three years speaks about Macedonia’s attitude towards Israel,” Miloshoski said.
