Hospitals in Ohrid and Struga are 90 percent full, and the capacities that will increase their possibilities for medical care of patients are still missing, despite the announcements for building  field hospitals that would serve to strengthen the capacities for the autumn wave.

While the two tourist centers are waiting for these field hospitals, the number of COVID-19 patients is growing rapidly. Only in the period from October 10th to October 16th, 42 cases were registered in Ohrid, while in Struga – 27.

The locals say that according to the agreement they signed with the Ministry of Health, preparations are being made for arranging the space so that the hospital will receive a triage center for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
