Skopje, with almost more than a third of the country’s total population, is understandably still the hardest hit by the coronavirus epidemic, accounting for half of the daily indicators of the number of people infected or dying from the novel coronavirus infection.
On Tuesday, as previously announced by the Ministry of Health, a total of 628 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Macedonia, of which 353 are from the area of Skopje. Of the 15 deaths in the last 24 hours, seven patients were from the capital.
There are currently 7,399 active cases in the country, and the number of active cases per municipality in Skopje is around 3,500.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic is 27,827, 19,479 patients have recovered and 949 have died.
