Forty-two percent of young people in Macedonia fully agree that the state respects the religious rights and freedoms of citizens, and 36 percent somewhat agree with this statement.

This, as announced by the Institute for Political Research – Skopje, is shown by the results of a nationwide telephone survey entitled “Youth Religious Literacy”, conducted in August on 1,103 young respondents between the ages of 18 and 35.
Out of the total number of respondents, 23% think that if religious freedoms and rights are threatened, the institutions for protection of those rights react in a timely and appropriate manner, some 25% agreed, 21% partially disagreed, while 15% did not agree at all.
