Health Minister Venko Filipche has warned that family celebrations and gatherings were the main cause for the first wave of the coronavirus and does not want to see this repeated.

Citizens should be highly responsible and observe the protection measures adopted at the start of November, the Ministry of Health says in a press release.

The amendments to the Law on Health Protection ban groups of more than four people in a public spaces – parks and public areas or any outdoor area – during the entire day.

The Orthodox faithful observe their family patron saints in this period of the year. Every family has their own patron saint they celebrate on the so-called feast day.
