With the Treaty we signed with Bulgaria, we wanted to be brothers and moved towards this, but suddenly they decided to become our fathers and this is where the problem lies, says Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
“I have often used my own narrative because of the sincere need to have excellent cooperation and friendship with Bulgaria, but suddenly they decided to become our fathers. And here is the problem. Trying to build a brotherhood, suddenly our neighbors decided to be our fathers. And that is not the case. We all have our own national identity, national roots, honor and dignity, and the world never negotiates for identity and language,” said Zaev.
