Comments, suggestions and suggestions for the new Concept for primary education can be posted until January 20, 2021, according to the website of the Ministry of Education and Science.
One of the main novelties is that the Concept envisages combining several scientific disciplines, which have been studied separately so far. Thus, it is envisaged to group the subjects biology, chemistry, physics and part of physical geography in one subject – natural sciences, while the subjects history, part of geography and civic education would be grouped in another subject – social sciences. Also, the subjects of music and art would be united in art education, and technical education and informatics should be merged into one subject – technique, technology and informatics.
Several institutes and student organizations have expressed dissatisfaction with the proposed Draft Concept over the past week.
