The Sector for Computer Crime and Digital Forensics at the Ministry of Interior is taking measures to clear up the “Javna soba (Public Room)” case, the Ministry of Interior told MIA.

The Interior Ministry urges each citizen who fell victim of such abuse to report to the nearest police station, and the Ministry of Interior in coordination with the prosecution is taking appropriate actions.

“We will continue with the intensive efforts to establish direct communication with the Telegram app, which so far has demonstrated complete non-cooperation with the governments of any country. Of course, we use all other activities that are available to us to clear up this case,” informed the Ministry of Interior.

“Public Room” recently re-emerged in the media after it was announced that the Telegram app group has over 5,600 members that share photographs, social media profiles, personal data, addresses and telephone numbers of girls. The photographs are of explicit content, and most of the girls on them are underage.
