Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said Friday that SDSM will support the proposal of smaller political parties to elect MPs in a single election unit, which, as he stressed, is their election promise, because, according to him, it means promoting democracy and giving a chance to smaller equality parties.
Political parties Democratic Alliance (DS), Levica, VMRO-People’s Party (VMRO-NP), Liberal-Democratic Party (LDP) and SDSM submitted Friday draft-amendments to the Electoral Code that propose turning the country into a single election unit, instead of the current six, for the next parliamentary elections.
