Izet Mexhiti wrote on Facebook that he was resigning from the position of coordinator of the DUI parliamentary group in Parliament.
Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi said Tuesday that it was his personal decision and that he respected it.
“At our last meeting, we all agreed to follow the party policies, and our leader Ahmeti said that at the moment they are all set,” Grubi said.
Asked whether Mexhiti can be Ahmeti’s her at the head of DUI, Grubi responded:
“Mexhiti has 20 years of experience in DUI. He could be the heir to Ali Ahmeti.”
