President Stevo Pendarovski expressed his position on one election district.
He said that he is in favor of that position, but that the threshold should not be limited to 3-4%.
“My suggestion would be to go with open lists or semi-open ones, and to go with one election district, but there is a trap here.
If Macedonia is just one election district, the threshold of 3-4% should not be set. There should be a natural threshold. The more people go out, the more MP seats. For example, if 1.2 million citizens go to the polls, 120 MPs, one parliamentary seat is 10 thousand votes,” Pendarovski said.
