VMRO-DPMNE called on the Government to postpone the census for September. VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Miloshoski said that the party demands an urgent meeting of the Parliament where the census law will be amended due to the very difficult coronavirus situation.

We believe that the public healthcare condition does not allow us to hold a census. Ireland, Serbia, Germany, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and many other countries postponed their censuses. They are trying to protect the health of their citizens, Miloshoski said.

That is why we believe that the citizens’ health should come first, and political and governmental agreements should be secondary in this regard because life has no repetition. I will repeat once again, we call on the Government and the ruling majority to schedule an emergency session so that the Law on Population Census can be legally intervened and amended by postponing it to September, as the earliest possible month for holding a census. provided that in the months ahead we have a serious and dynamic process of immunization,” said Miloshoski.
