Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska, in an interview with Telma TV’s “Top Tema”, when asked about the non-working day Sunday, pointed out that the preparation of this legal solution is subject to a long debate with all stakeholders affected by this law. In the Law on Labor Relations, she added, it is stated in detail what will be the exceptions to this decision, these are 40 exceptions and about 30 percent of all registered activities.

“Not all workers will work in the malls either, it is regulated by the Ministry of Economy with the Law on Trade. Only one shift will work in the Malls from 10 am to 6 pm, and 2% of the total turnover that they will make on Sunday throughout the year will be intended for the construction of new kindergartens. And employees who work on Sundays will receive a 100 percent bonus in addition to the basic daily wage,” Shahpaska said.
