According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the number of tourists who visited North Macedonia in February 2021, compared to February 2020, decreased by 41.7%, and the number of nights spent decreased by 36.8%.
The number of tourists in February 2021 was 27,569, and the number of nights spent by tourists was 60,013.
The number of domestic tourists in February 2021, compared to February 2020, decreased by 10.4%, while the number of foreign tourists decreased by 60.2%. The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in February 2021, compared to February 2020, decreased by 14.8%, and the number of nights spent by foreign tourists decreased by 52.1%.
In the period January – February 2021, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists decreased by 45.7%: the number of domestic tourists decreased by 11.3%, while that of foreign tourists decreased by 65.4%.
In the period January – February 2021, compared to the same period last year, the number of nights spent decreased by 38.9%: the number of nights spent by domestic tourists decreased by 15.1%, while those by foreign tourists decreased by 56.4%.
