The mass vaccination of population begins in the capital Skopje and six regional centers across the country – Kumanovo, Shtip, Kavadarci, Tetovo,Ohrid and Bitola – on Tuesday. 10,000-15,000 people are to be inoculated daily, with authorities expecting a high percentage of vaccinated population by the start of the summer.
A total of 200,000 Chinese vaccines, which arrived last week, were distributed at the Boris TrajkovskiArena in Skopje and the regional centers in Kumanovo, Stip, Kavadarci, Tetovo, Ohrid and Bitola.
Other large quantities of vaccines are expected to arrive, another 600,000 from China and 26,000 from Pfizer.
