The government did pay money to the account of Starbi International, a company that was supposed to be an intermediary in the procurement of Chinese vaccines, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski revealed at Wednesday’s briefing.
According to the documents in his possession, $ 7.8 million was paid, or $ 65 per vaccine. The Ministry of Health is registered as the payer of the money.
The transaction was made, and we do not know whether the money was paid back, says Mickoski.
The scandal with the supply of Chinese vaccines through a suspicious phantom company, due to which the process was stopped by China, broke out in March, but so far there are still no actions from either the Anti-Corruption Agency or the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
