After the meeting with VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, President Stevo Pendarovski told the media that he could not comment on the content of the official note from the ANB, on the basis of which a businessman is held in custody. According to VMRO-DPMNE leader Mickoski there should be some consequences for the people who manage the vital state institutions.
“I am one of the few users from the state leadership who received that note at the time and I can tell you that the sample that was published after the internal investigation that we did is neither from my office, nor from the services that are under my direct competence,” said Pendarovski.
The head of state pointed out that he is not at all happy that such highly classified documents, regardless of their content, are leaked.
“I think that the investigation should show how it is possible from a fairly limited number of the highest state entities, a body in the field of justice and state leadership how that document came out in general because it does not speak well. We have been a member of NATO for one year and it is very important for us in the field, in the field of information security, that the classified information be read only by those for whom it is intended,” said the President.
