Suddenly I became very interesting for European leaders. In a day, I have invitations to talk to at least two Prime Ministers, one President and one European Commissioner. So yes, there is a lot of attention toward Bulgaria – I will not use the word pressure. But what is most important is that Bulgaria does not allow the entry of new problems into the Union. I think that the way to open the European path for our brothers from the Republic of (North) Macedonia leads through Sofia, said Bulgarian President Rumen Radev after laying flowers at the monument to Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Sofia on Monday.

“We should not forget that Bulgaria is a EU member state and this means a lot. We, too, will seek solidarity from other member states,” the Bulgarian president said, adding that the most important thing is that Bulgaria, being a responsible member, should not allow bringing problems into the EU.

“We will develop our relations in the spirit of confidence, friendship and goodneighborliness,” he added.
