Vaccination of children and youth aged 12-17 will begin on Monday at vaccination sites across the country, with 1,800 applying for inoculation so far, informed the Ministry of Health.

A total of 453,773 people across North Macedonia have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 272,129 have been fully immunized, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

Latest data show that 58% of people over 70 have received at least one COVID-19 shot, as well as 55% of those over 65, 51% of those over 60 and 41% of people over 50.

Health Minister Venko Filipche once again urged citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Restrictions have already been introduced against unvaccinated people in Europe and around the world. A COVID-19 vaccination certificate is required when visiting an indoor public space, to have access to catering, sports or other services, said Filipche.
